Get yer ARRRGHs on! Ken and John Huston’s upcoming collaboration is an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s great classic. The show was scheduled for production in the summer of 2020 at the Winnipeg and Edmonton Fringe Festivals, and never went into rehearsal for all-too-obvious reasons. Ken’s adaptation still awaits, as does the treasure chest, the ship, and the map that marks the spot. As do, of course the cutlasses!
This new instalment of great classics done in miniature will be the latest in a series of Brown/Huston collaborations, following in the path of Wooster Sauce, 2 Sherlock Holmes Adventures, and 2019’s wildly successful The Sign of Four. A family-oriented show, Treasure Island will be the perfect opportunity to introduce your young ones to one of the greatest adventure stories ever told. It will also be your chance to re-imagine yourselves on board the Hispaniola, as the trim ship sets sail for literature’s most renowned… Treasure Island.
Treasure Island is scheduled for next year’s Winnipeg and Edmonton festivals, and will be available for bookings after August, 2021.
